Economist. Head of the Department of Management and Strategy at the Corvinus University of Budapest, and member of the staff of the REKK Regional Centre fo Energy Policy Research. He graduated in management and finance in 1993 and defended his PhD thesis in 2018 on the transformation of the Hungarian energy trading sector after the liberalisation. He worked in the corporate sector until 2004 in strategic and financial management positions. From 2005, he continued his career in the public administration as Head of Department at the Ministry of Economy and Transport. From July 2006 to April 2008, he was State Secretary for Energy, Telecommunication and Transport. Since 2010 he has been a university researcher and lecturer. His main research interests include strategic adaptation of energy companies, economic evaluation of energy investments, comparative economic analysis of innovative new technologies and different energy production modes. He is actively involved in several academic and professional organisations. President of the Hungarian Energy Traders’ Association, member of the Board of the Association of Transport Sciences.
