József Kossuth

Cargo Director, Budapest Airport

Mr. József Kossuth is Cargo Director of Budapest Airport (BUD). He is responsible for managing business and the operational environment’s development of cargo activities of BUD, and he co-ordinates the community work of the BUD air cargo community. His strong mission is to support the development of the air cargo industry especially in the Central Eastern European region (CEE) and improve the air cargo environment, its competitiveness, innovations, implementation of new technologies, improving collaborations amongst cargo stakeholders and finding synergies. He works with passion to increase the regional cargo hub role of BUD utilizing the expanding cargo potentials in the Central Eastern European region, but also does his best to help the development of the airfreight industry in CEE.

He is the Board Member of Association of Logistic Service Centers in Hungary and leads its ecommerce working group, he is the Head of the Aviation Working Group of the Freight Forwarder Association in Hungary, furthermore represents this association in the international aviation working group of FIATA, and on airfreight related topics in CLECAT.

Mr. Kossuth was awarded as Logistics Manager of Hungary in 2021 by the Hungarian Logistics, Purchasing and Stock keeping Association, in 2023 he received Certificate of Merit from President of World Customs Organization presented by President of National Tax and Customs Authority of Hungary for its support in cooperation amongst the authority and the air cargo community. Budapest Airport was proud to receive the "Cargo Hub of the Year 2021" award by Air Cargo News.
