Pálma Szolnoki

Head of Energy Storage Working Group, Hungarian Battery Association

Ms. Szolnoki leads the Energy Storage Working Group at the Hungarian Battery Association (HUBA). Over the past year, under her leadership, HUBA has significantly contributed to public consultations for the government's CFD tender aimed at enhancing the FOM storage capacity in the electricity system for private players. Furthermore, HUBA has been actively involved in the BTM PV plus Storage funding program designed to benefit households. Her working group also represents storage licensees in the Distribution System Operator (DSO) and Transmission System Operator (TSO) network code committees, and produces working papers and recommendations to advocate for storage-specific regulations within the Hungarian electricity system.

In addition to her role at HUBA, Palma serves as a senior research associate at Zero Carbon Hub, based at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics. There, she leads various research projects focused on decarbonizing the Hungarian energy sector, including battery storage initiatives.
