Herbert Thanner, M.Sc. is a physicist and the founder of CVN – Creating Value Networks. He has more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of energy technologies, industrial R&D, European programmes and regional development.
His background includes hydrogen, fuel cells, battery and energy systems, EU-funded innovation projects and cooperation with companies, research organisations and public authorities. Through CVN, he analyses European industrial, technology and innovation developments and translates them into strategic insights for companies, regions and innovation ecosystems.
At Hungarian Battery Days 2026, he will discuss how battery investments can be transformed into lasting regional capabilities, stronger industrial ecosystems and cross-border value networks across Central and Eastern Europe.
