Dr. Ádám Kovács is a lawyer, economist and Head of Government Relations. He obtained his law degree from the University of Miskolc, followed by an MBA in Economics and an LL.M. in European and International Business Law from the University of Debrecen. He continued his studies in Budapest, where he earned a Master’s degree in Security Policy, and later furthered his professional education at the University of Debrecen in the fields of ESG and compliance law.
A significant part of his professional career was spent at the Municipality of Debrecen, where he served as Head of the Mayor’s Cabinet from 2014 to 2025. His responsibilities included coordinating the city’s strategic development processes, supporting major investment and development policy projects, overseeing municipal communications and international relations, as well as coordinating the development of Debrecen International Airport.
Since 2025, he has served as Head of Government Relations at EVE Power Hungary Kft. In this role, he is responsible for building and maintaining the company’s relationships with government institutions, local authorities and regulatory bodies, monitoring the regulatory environment, managing external relations, and coordinating the company’s communications and PR strategy.
His responsibilities also include the strategic coordination of permitting processes related to the company’s investment, aligning regulatory procedures and related internal cooperation, as well as overseeing and coordinating compliance activities. A key part of his role is representing the company’s strategic interests and supporting senior management in assessing the business implications of governmental and regulatory developments. He also contributes to strengthening regulatory and legal compliance and to fostering the company’s integration into the local community and developing long-term institutional partnerships.
His professional interests focus on corporate and public affairs, regulatory compliance, sustainability, and economic and development policy.
