Ferenc Kun is President for Research and Innovation at the University of Debrecen, Professor of Physics, and a full member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He served as Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology from 2017 to 2026. His research focuses on complex systems and the physics of degradation phenomena. In his current leadership role, he works to strengthen research excellence, interdisciplinary collaboration and university–industry partnerships. His priorities include connecting the university’s research capabilities with industrial needs through joint research, knowledge transfer and the training of highly qualified professionals.
