Albert joined UniCredit Bank Hungary Zrt. in September 2022 as Head of Corporates Division, and Member of the Management Board. Albert is also Member of the Supervisory Board of UniCredit Jelzálogbank Zrt and UniCredit Leasing Hungary Zrt.
Albert started his career at Fortis Bank NV/SA, working in London, Madrid, and the Netherlands.
In 2009 he joined UniCredit Group, at Bank Austria’s Project and Commodity Finance CEE Department. He was responsible for the successful closing of large-scale Energy and Infrastructure transactions in various CEE countries such as Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Russia, and Turkey.
In 2016-2017, Albert was seconded to UniCredit Bank Serbia to support setting up the Financing & Advisory department. As the Head of Corporate Structured & Project Finance he managed the full financing lifecycle from deal origination and structuring to execution of a portfolio of energy and sustainable infrastructure project finance transactions.
In 2018, he was appointed Managing Director and Head of Financing at Zagrebačka banka, UniCredit's Croatian subsidiary. After three years he took on the position of Managing Director and Head of International Clients, also in the Corporates Division of Zagrebačka banka.
Albert holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He speaks fluent English, German and Dutch, has a good command of the Croatian language and is currently studying Hungarian.
