Sándor Nagy is the deputy mayor of Szeged responsible for urban development, mobility, international projects and investor relations. He has a masters degree in software engineering and has been member of the City Council since 1994. He was vice mayor between 2002 and 2010, and again from 2014.
The city prioritized sustainable development under his watch. He was responsible for the reconstruction of the electric transport system, several green city projects and awareness raising communications. Szeged has also become succesful in international projects that focused on mobility and climate change issues, and got several awards for its activities. He is also responsible for the coordination with government and private actors in the BYD project, on behalf of the city.
